We started Lakewood Garage Doors in 1991. We currently live and office in Lakewood and consider the City as our home.
What started as ranch land, turkey farms, and early subdivisions of homes has become one of Colorado's largest cities, with over 150,000 residents. People called the area Lakewood way before the City existed. Early in the last century, wealthy people, such as May Bonfils and Molly Brown, built summer homes as a respite from Denver's hustle-bustle. Fearing annexation by Denver, the City incorporated in 1969. Lakewood is a charming mix of new and older neighborhoods with attached and unattached garages.
